This collection of grommet bangles comes from one of the many piles of cord ends and odd bits of color that accumulate during the making of rope bracelets. This group is a mix of colors made with multiple coach whippings. Using multiple colored cords in a single grommet entails securing the extra loose ends. Three colors of waxed thread are used individually and in mixed combinations.
This group (3632) is all about 8" to 8 1/4" in size.
A wide rope bracelet made with high density braided synthetic cord that has a really pleasing color mix. The braided material is quite stiff and dense so the bracelet assumes a naturally stiff shape when worked up on the mold.
Extra wide tapered pvc cuff is a piece of arm-more... The open back design is easy to slip on over the hand and the tapered shape fits comfortably on the forearm. A dot line pattern is etched on the outside, the interior is smooth.
7 1/4"(183 mm) narrow end to 8 1/4" (209 mm)
2 1/4" (57 mm) narrow end to 2 5/8" (67 mm)
3 1/4" (82 mm) wide
Hand dyed cotton cord and traditional coach whipping details combined in a simple multi part string bracelet. Three small glass beads embellish two of the coach whippings. Three closed loops add texture. Design based on traditional sailmaking and rope work techniques.
